PAGB Distinction Awards

[ For any queries about the PAGB awards, or if you wish to know your current points tally, contact WCPF Awards Officer: Di Tilsley, 2 Grove Barn, Martinstown, Dorchester, DT2 9JP  Tel: 01305 889495 ]

The PAGB have a system that allows members of affiliated Photographic Clubs/Societies to gain three Awards that reflect increasing levels of performance within Amateur photography.  This system operates within a framework of demonstrated support for the Federation of which the Club is a member.

The Awards are at  CPAGB” level (Credit), “DPAGB” (Distinction) and “MPAGB” (Master).

Federation support is measured within the WCPF by the allocation of points to entries or selections for various Federation Competitions & events. Any number of points can gathered by a member in a year, but only a maximum of 10 can be accumulated towards qualification, and there are minimum periods of time before an attempt can be made for each Award :-

- for “CPAGB            -           2 years + 20 points are required,

- for “DPAGB            -           3 years + 30 points, and

- for “MPAGB           -           5 years + 50.

It is not necessary to start with a "CPAGB".  If it is felt that work is of the standard required, a "DPAGB" may be attempted first.  However, it is not possible to start with "MPAGB" – for this a “DPAGB” must have been held for at least 11 months.

Qualifying points can be used retrospectively for up to TEN years.
