WCPF Spring Seminar in the New Forest 2011

 The Seminar was held at the 3* Burley Manor Hotel, Burley
 

On Friday evening, our guest speaker was Maurice Pugh from Southampton who gave us a presentation, showing some of his oustanding nature photographs.

With three Nature led walks by local photograpers Martin Buckley, Paul Brock, and Maurice Pugh there was plenty to attract our cameras. Brian Galbraith took a group to the Motor Museum at Beaulieu, John Tilsley took another group of photograhers to Hurst Castle by boat and Bill Aven led the remainder to Exbury Gardens. All members were invited to download some of their images for viewing in the Hotel after our well appreciated meal. This led to an enjoyable discussion as to what different photographers had experienced on the day.

Owing to the options available on Saturday, some members from the Nature walks chose to visit Exbury Gardens, which was led by Brian. The remainder took the option from three different Nature trails led again by our local guides or chose to do their own bit of sight seeing in the Forest. The entire weekend was blessed with good daytime weather and superbly organised by the WCPF President, Brian Galbraith.
