 WCPF Members Print Exhibition 2012 Accepted Images

We were delighted that almost 1,100 prints were entered for the 2012 Exhibition. The selection was carried out on 31^stMarch and 1^stApril by three very experienced selectors, the identity of the entrant was kept completely confidential throughout. An initial mark was awarded by all three selectors for each print, and the highest scoring prints were then further assessed very closely by the selectors in order to decide upon the final list of  acceptances and award winners.

In all 261 prints were accepted – they will be shown either at the Exhibition in Frome or included in the Travelling Critique that will circulate around the WCPF Clubs over the next 15 months. Only one accepted print from each entrant is included in the TC. A “PAGB” print will represent WCPF for consideration in the PAGB Print exhibition – prints accepted by the PAGB will be exhibited at various venues around the UK over the next 12 months. 

The Exhibition will be at the Rook Lane Gallery in Frome from Sunday 13th May to Saturday 26^thMay. The Presentation of awards for trophies, medals, ribbons and highly commended prints will be at 2.00pm on Sunday 13^thMay. All entrants, WCPF camera club members and their guests are welcome. 

If you have also entered digital images, Pam Sherren is arranging for these to be shown at The Corn Exchange, Exeter on The Members Projected Image Day, Saturday 21^stApril. All projected image results and presentations will be made on that day. Tickets are still available. All Projected Image entrants will be notified of their individual scores during the week following 21^stApril.

These digital images accurately reflect the content of the successful prints, but please note that they cannot convey many other aspects of the print including the choice of paper, print quality, mounting, and overall ambience that will always make enjoying an exhibition print a very different experience to viewing a digital image, whether projected or viewed on a screen .
