KNIGHTSHAYES TROPHY - BRIAN’S COMMENTS ON HIS PICK
HIGHLY COMMENDED: Autumn Colours by Wendy Hopper of Phoenix Group of Photographers. “Enjoyed the shapes. Good environmental shot.”
HIGHLY COMMENDED: Station Approach Kevin Leath of Camborne and Redruth Camera Club “Strong effect and use of mono. Only a small part of the image is sharp.”
HIGHLY COMMENDED: Old Gravestone Flowers by Paula Graham. Newton Abbot Photographic Club. “Flowers laid on the old gravestone - showed that there was something down below! Dust to dust, ashes to ashes etc.”
HIGHLY COMMENDED: Beach Huts by Clive Bradley-Matthews of Dorchester Camera Club. “The all-white effect adds an extra dimension to the picture. Liked the wide angle lens distortion.”
HIGHLY COMMENDED: Hearth and Clay Floor by Dave Rayner of Ivybridge Camera Club, “A classic bit of scenery showing the old floor.”
HIGHLY COMMENDED: Roots and Leaves by Peter Keverne of Camborne-Redruth CC.
“A good use of colour”.
THIRD: ‘En Passant’ by Jeremy Northcott of Wadebridge Camera Club. “An odd picture showing a different view of levels leading from one to the next.”
SECOND: Gunnera by Pam Sherren of Paignton Camera Club. “Stunning use of black and white of this plant - looking up from ground level. Good use of shapes.”
FIRST: Working on the Level by Derek Goodridge of Penryn Camera Club. “An unusual treatment. Made good use of flare and hot-spots. Very innovative”
