JUDGING SEMINAR 3rd March 2012 

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE A JUDGE  -  THERE IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN THE FUNDAMENTAL SKILLS BY ATTENDING A WCPF COURSE

Venue:  The Pollyfield Centre, Avon Road, East of the Water, Bideford EX39 4BL 

Time:  9.30am for a prompt start at 10.00am: estimated finishing time is no later than 5.00pm. 

Catering:Please bring your own food. Breaks for complimentary teas and coffees will be scheduled. Hot soup and rolls may be available lunchtime at a nominal cost this will be confirmed. 

Costs:  The course is provided by the WCPF at a subsidised price of £5 per head payable on the day. 

Tutors:  John Tilsley, Bill Aven, Barrie Bluer, Ken Holland, Mac Bouchere and Brian Galbraith.

Whilst we aim to accept every applicant, if numbers should exceed 32, acceptances will be on a first come, first accepted basis. A reserve list will be kept and a second course has been  arranged in Weston super Mare in September.

If after the course the attendee feels judging is not their chosen subject there is no obligation to become a WCPF judge.

Could you also please bring with you on the day 10 photographs that can be used for assessment by other attendees in the tutorial groups. Please do put your name on the back of each photograph for identification at the end of the seminar; ideally they should be A3 and mounted but A4 unmounted will be satisfactory, they do not have to be your best works!

Judging Seminar 2011

Members of the Exeter Camera Club hosted a judging seminar for the WCPF. Organised by Barrie Castle, thirty people attended the day long seminar which enlightened potential judges to the judging process.

Aided by Mac Buchere, Ken Holland, Barrie Bluer, Bill Aven and WCPF President Brian Galbraith, John Tilsley gave a presentation highlighting the intricasies of judging.

This will bring to the region extra judges with WCPF approval and are now listed in the directory.
