AMENDED RULES
W.C.P.F. AUDIO VISUAL COMPETITION APRIL 14TH 2012 AT THE CLYST St MARYS VILLAGE HALL
The charges for 2012 will be ..... £6 per sequence to include tea/coffee & entry for 1 competitor a maximum of two entries per individual or group, so if you, or your group enters 2 sequences it will cost you £12 & will include competitor entry ticket. For visitors, tickets will be £6 pp including tea/coffee. If you are entering a group sequence with many contributors, only 1 contributor is free the rest have to pay. Tickets are not transferable. There will be no catering as in previous years, so please bring a packed lunch.
The categories for the 2012 competition will be:
The M.A.D. Trophy for the Audience Popular Vote.
The Innovation Award. For, in the judge’s opinion, something different.
*** NEW*** Section 1 The up to 3.21 competition. For Individual / group sequences entries of no more than 3 minutes 21sec long.
*** Section 2 *** The 3.22 to 10 competition. For Individual / group sequences entries of between 3.22 & 10 minutes long.
Individual entrants may enter 2 sequences, and also be part of a group entry of more than two contributors. The same group may also enter 2 sequences. All contributors to sequences must be listed, and belong to a WCPF club.
There is no longer a “ Club “ entry or competition.
The Coote Challenge Cup will be awarded to the winner of Section 1
The Presidents Salver will be awarded to the winner of section 2
****** AMENDMENT
A downloadable entry & ticket request form is on the WCPF web site.
Technical requirements 1400 x 1050 resolution and running on the Windows platform. Submit an .EXE file- the sequence must run with no additional requirements, having been made with e.g. Pictures ToExe or ProShow – The sequence should be programmed as self-starting without a “run box” and must not “ loop “ they must be set to run in full screen mode and return to desktop at the end.
Please ensure that you have the appropriate licences for your music, copies of them should be attached to your entry form. For up to date information on licences go to the IAC web site at WWW.theiac.org.uk go to the AV section and you will find all the information you need as well as an online application form for a licence. It’s quick, it’s easy, and it’s cheap ( about £8 ) I think, so it’s not worth the risk.
